A former hostage negotiator and police psychologist, Professor Kohlrieser is best known for applying the hostage metaphor to leadership, developing the Secure Base Leadership and Care to Dare concepts to help leaders create high performance. Professor Kohlrieser is also a Distinguished Professor of Leadership and Organisational Behavior at IMD Business School in Switzerland, consultant to global companies, and a frequent speaker at management and professional conferences around the world, including the World Business Forum, the World Economic Forum and the United Nations. Additionally, he is the award-winning author of Hostage at the Table, a best-selling book alongside his later work Care to Dare. His work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, The Financial Times, Forbes and other leading newspapers and magazines.
Professor Kohlrieser's decades of research and vision for the future laid the groundwork for the establishment of the Kohlrieser Leadership Institute.
